Pakistaniat.com is one of my favorite blogs and last week Adil Najam made a blog post about abbottabad city. Looking at the pictures in his post and his comments the first thing that came in my mind was are we not doing the same thing with Bakote?
Look at abbottabad picture below and all you can see is an unorganized and unplanned city. As Adil Najam said it is a concrete jungle and it clearly is a mess.

Abbottabad used to be a place where people liked to go and talk about how green, calm and clean this city was.
Here is an image of abbottabad as published in London newspaper in 1863.

Now if you look at the pictures of bakote you can see a lush green village with trees all over. Don’t you think that in next 20-30 years these trees will be replaced with steel & concrete structures all over the place? Are we not going in the same direction?

Throughout Pakistan we know that police stations are under uinflunce of political parties and personalities and thana bakote is no different from other police stations. Too much political influence is badly affecting the repute of historical police station. More details in Shamal news below:

 No Veterinary Doctor at Bakote and as a result a poor man lost his goat… 

Few days ago I posted news of Misalihati commitee new chairman Sardar Illays Abbasi and today there is a news on Daily Shammal that Hasnaat Awaan of bakote is seeking justice as chairman attacked him with some other persons. He threaten to suicide if no justice is provided. 

Another theif in bakote has been arrested while trying to steal PTCL cables.
