With the efforts of SAHR ( Society for Advocacy Health & Rehabilitation) Abbottabad , The District Co-ordination Officer Abbottabad Mr. Munir Azam chaired  an open forum (Khuli Kacheri) on 23.12.2009 at Pattan Khurd,Distt: Abbottabad. In the forum, all the Heads / representatives of almost all the departments of District Abbottabad were present and besides other Health Care issue of the people of this far-flung area was discussed and highlighted.

The DCO Abbottabad directed the Health department to arrange periodical medical camps. To implement the directives, the DCO hold meetings with the representatives of Health Department, and health forum member’s NGOs including SAHR. The basic object to constitute a Health Forum is to provide primary health care and awareness to the people of far-flung areas, where they are depriving from the basic rights /facilities. The first free medical camp scheduled at SAHR complex, Pulhair Pattan Khurd, Distt: Abbottabad on 30-03-2010.

Being member of the District Health Forum, SAHR  with the collaboration of Sungi Development Foundation, Noor Foundation , and Women Medical College Abbottabad organized a  one day free medical camp at Pulhair Pattan Khurd,District Abbottabad on 30-03-2010.

The objective of the medical Camp was to provide free medical facility, i.e. consultation, treatment, medicine, diagnostic and referral to the people different hospitals of the district.

The Medical Camp consisting almost all the primary health care departments, The Specialist Male & Female Doctors from Ayub Medical complex, District Hospital, Women Medical college headed by Executive Director Health. All doctors voluntarily served the patients and pay full attention to the all patients of outreach hilly areas. Where more than 1000 men, women and children were thoroughly examined and provided health facility at their doorstep. About 400 laboratory tests were conducted in the laboratory.Various patients were referred to the different  Hospitals of District Abbottabad for complete diagnose and treatment.

To check the proper functioning of free medical Camp  District Coordination Officer(DCO) visited the Medical camp. He also visited the Doctors rooms, medical store and Laboratory to see the facilities which were being provided to the visiting patients. He also talk to the patient regarding the medical checkup, availability of free medicine, and Lab facilities. The beneficiaries of medical camp were happy and satisfied with services.

The Chief Guest appreciate the efforts of all the supporting NGOs and volunteers organization on their outstanding arrangement in such a for flung location. Mr. Munir Azam (DCO) , Mr.Qasim (EDO Health), executives of the different  NOGs highly appreciate the outstanding arrangement and organization of medical camp by SAHR (society for Advocacy Health & Rehabilitation).
