Pakistaniat.com is one of my favorite blogs and last week Adil Najam made a blog post about abbottabad city. Looking at the pictures in his post and his comments the first thing that came in my mind was are we not doing the same thing with Bakote?
Look at abbottabad picture below and all you can see is an unorganized and unplanned city. As Adil Najam said it is a concrete jungle and it clearly is a mess.

Abbottabad used to be a place where people liked to go and talk about how green, calm and clean this city was.
Here is an image of abbottabad as published in London newspaper in 1863.
Now if you look at the pictures of bakote you can see a lush green village with trees all over. Don’t you think that in next 20-30 years these trees will be replaced with steel & concrete structures all over the place? Are we not going in the same direction?

bakote cant be planed….as for planing we need a society or body which maake rules for constructions and planning ..

Nice discussion,,here i want to add that Nations have no need to plain for the controll or decrease the population,,insted equipped population with the strength of modern small and hi tech technology,,vis versa unskilled population is liability,,has create burden on national economy,,eg pakistan,,india.skilled population like china considered Asset in nations developement especialy in that era of so called globalization…gays we have 54% youth of whole population,,which considers second largest youth of the world after Iran,,,why we can,,t prove overself infront of world,else Japan is country where 60% population are in old ages more than 65 years…thinks ..thats only my own view may people would,,,t agree……..Shams Abbasi

Bakote still needs few things to be a nice little town of that area.
1. proper road (from all three directions) 10. a delivery centre
2. a market for trading 11. a bus station
3. a small halipad 12. few industries
4. a high school for boys 13. a job centre
5. a high school for girls 14. proper post office
6. a post graduate college 15. a play ground
7. a technical colege 16. a social office or
a charity centre
8. an effective irrigation system
9. a running hospital with all basic facilities including 2 ambulances

all his could be achieved if one important thing can be created and that is unity.
there should be wide jirga from all casts sit down togather and finish all previous problems between each others and then choose a leader among them who can take them a head.
i am sure this an create alovely society and one opinion on all problems .WHAT DO U GUYS THINK>>>>>>>>>>>

GOOD SUGGESTIONS BY SOHAIL KHAN …ALL ABOVE MENTIONED THINGS ARE VERY MUCH IMPORTANT FOR BAKOT SPECIALY HOSPITAL AND EDUCATION FACILITIES…ALL THE CASTS COULD HAVE EASILY DONE THAT LONG TIME BEFORE BUT PROVIDING THESE FACILITIES TO PUBLIC IS RESPONSIBILTY OF STATE SO INSPITE OF DOING THAT THEY MUST VOTE FOR SUCH LEADERS WHO CAN DELLIVER WHEN GIVEN A CHANCE TO SERVE PEOPLE…WHICH UNLUCKILY DID’T HAPPENED IN PAST…POLITICIANS FROM AREA GOT VERY HIGH SEATS LIKE CHIEF MINISTERS AND FEDERAL MINISTERS BUT THEY FAILED TO DELIVER AND FULFIL SUCH BASIC NEEDS.

All of the time, we would not have need totally Idealistic approach and Nor whole some realism, but the Question again remains over there, instead of Any body, somebody and nobody, who will come do so, whatever mentioned above by our brother Suhail khan.
First of all, I appreciated all these suggestion gave by Suhail Bhae,but let me explain that all of sudden these all suggestion\Nice ideas produced, melodious effects to our ears, but practically on ground, what I believe i have no optimism from my respected elders of Bakote,they people are grown in the environment of rivalry and envy to each other. In Bakote society Minorities called in local clang “”KHAMNEI…KAMEEN”" are victimize by inferiority complex and local Abbasi,,s have Superiority complex, which they would,,,t want leave.
Nut shell if we want to talked about unity and hope according to suggestion, that all comes true,only and only Bakote youth would be last hope to remove all that social Taboos and complexes.
I agreed from all these grand suggestion, but why we would not use that particular, forum to support those ideas in practical shape. I think we would have take first step to give foundation for our high dreams. From here we have shape a group of youth, who want prove themselves in that grand cause. Then all youth shoud be come with the approach, those who want to shape that picture with nice colures. Instead of all, we would have again waiting for ”somebody” “Anybody” “everybody” at last “”Nobody”. Pleas if today we are two tomorrow, we would be eleven. If anyone want add, any thing would be appriciated. Now come and participate in that noble cause. At the end I appreciated Sohail Bhae suggestion and optimistic about his personal support in that cause. We have huge number of example about the people, who changed the societies and influence masses with their bright and grand work, that was abstract as well concrete influence of these great personalities.

Agreed.. but the list of suggestions don’t look realistic as I don’t think there is a single village in whole country with all these facilities. Even villages near Islamabad lack primary school.
To me most important is education a post graduate college and a technical college should be the top priority.

yup,admin you are right, we would have great need of education institution at emergency level. According to my point view as usual, we should,,t go for any false optimism from Government or present political demagogues of our region, which subjugated that area like their colonies from last two an half decades. I think they are not interested to develop that region in modern formal or technical education. Because according to their future plains, average and incompetent person like “”Shahmoom Yar”"would be play his political role in that arena, with the help of local political demagogues of that contingency.
Practically, I think that youth of Bakote would have to be united, without the discrimination of race and Brothery and come forward to play their role in Democratic system as well struggle for the education institution.
Why we would not struggle for post graduate or Degree College with the help of some Non governmental organization or International donors. Huge number of Bakote youth is working in media or other wise in non governmental institution.
What I observed different communities of world even in western peoples had not got the level of development until and unless, they removed their reliability from political and governmental institutions. May people are not agree?

Dear Shams and Colleagues,
I was just gone through all comments and suggestions posted by Mr. Shams Abbasi and other colleagues, I really conceited being optimist and appreciated the thoughts and ideas of youngest. If everyone think positively and contribute his share towards the development of society and regime; nobody can stop them sooner or later changes will knock the society, Hallucination is not bounding, dreams are come true.
It is difficult to impose your thoughts to others but as an individual we have to adopt the changes and prove it through our gesture, gradually people will join you side by side if you will be on right path.
In fact the basic need of circle is a Post Graduate College, when higher education will accessible for all, changes will come automatically. All needs identified by our friends are based on reality but we can’t gain all at a same time so best way to attain a goal, focus on a single object and after achieving move forward to other obligations.
Once again thanks to Naveed to provide such a fantastic platform to tied up the youth of region in a single platform for the development of the circle and society.
